As the research scientist who manages the data and coordinates the annual instrument development of the California Women’s Health Survey (CWHS), I find it professionally rewarding when esteemed colleagues use the data to advance issues in women’s health.

The CWHS is coordinated by the Survey Research Group in collaboration with the California Department of Mental Health, the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs, Lumetra, the California Department of Social Services, and the Public Health Institute. The CWHS is an on-going monthly telephone survey that has been in the field since 1997. After a one-year embargo, public use datasets become available to researchers.
