I am very happy to see this work in print, having been been familiar with it beforehand. I am happy to see it because it represents another step in helping primary care physicians deal effectively with the overserviced/underserved patients that we all have. As a primary care physician, I see such patients daily. I know that they consume a disproportionate share of health care resources, which we can ill afford. This research documents the problem, and offers a method for identifying this subset of patients. It provides a take off point for applying various methodologies to address the needs of these patients.
