2023, Neuroscience and Biobehavioral ReviewsBreast cancer: Lesser-known facets and hypotheses
2018, Biomedicine and PharmacotherapyCitation Excerpt :Metals such as cadmium, zinc, iron, copper, nickel, and aluminum accumulate in human serum, and act as the cofactor of enzymes, which indirectly lead to high estrogen activity [105]. Pollutant inhalation can cause nasal allergies, hypothyroidism, sinusitis, migraine headache, food sensitivities, irritable bowel, anxiety, depression, apart from breast cysts [106]. If the common drivers are not eliminated, breast cancer is going to be the most common health issue.

2013, Women and HealthEffect of prolonged exposure to low concentrations of formaldehyde on the corticotropin releasing hormone neurons in the hypothalamus and adrenocorticotropic hormone cells in the pituitary gland in female mice
2004, Brain ResearchCitation Excerpt :Our experimental data suggest that chronic exposure to low level formaldehyde may indeed result in sensitization, since in the NAG mice the values of CRH-ir neurons, ACTH-ir cells and ACTH-mRNA remained significantly elevated. A prominent hypothesis suggests that repeated exposure leads to an amplification of CNS circuits, which would show as increased activity of the HPA system [2,3]. Our morphological data from NAG mice support this hypothesis.
