You can disagree with a surveyor, but the disagreement should be handled privately and calmly. If what the surveyor is saying doesn't make sense, say, "Help me understand." Ask if it is a suggestion or a deviation from compliance. Contact the Standards Interpretation Group together. If all else fails, electronically submit clarifying evidence of standards compliance.
