RE: Is atrial myocardial infarction forgotten? the abdominal probe can also be good for heart disease

  • Fenglin Jiang, Cardiologist, Yanbian University Hospital
13 March 2021

To the Editor:
Myocardial infarction generally refers to ventricular myocardial infarction. Echocardiography showed that ventricular wall motion decreased or disappeared, systolic thickening rate decreased or disappeared, or showed hyperechoic and thinning.
What about atrial mycardiol infarction.
ECG diagnostic criteria of atrial myocardiol infarction: PR-segment elevation or depression ≥ 0.1mv, P wave notch, bimodal, etc;Right atrial myocardiol infarction: the PR-segment of lead I was increased by more than 0.1mv, and the aVF or v2-v4 of lead II, III, aVF or v2-v4 were decreased by 0.1mv;Left atrial myocardiol infarction: the PR-segment of leads Ⅱ, Ⅲ and aVF was increased by 0.1mv, and the PR-segment of leadⅠwas decreased by 0.1mv.1
The line of M-mode ultrasound was aimed at the target atrium, and then the fluctuation of M-mode ultrasound was observed.the goal of M-mode ultrasound is to see the contraction movement of atrium. An abdominal probe or a cardiac probe is OK.
In addition,Artificial intelligence or M-mode: which is the future of echocardiography.Maybe it's a combination of the two.Artificial intelligence is based on deep learning, the echocardiography picture or animation into the model, training model, test model.Omni-directional M-mode echocardiography or anatomic M-mode echocardiography may find coronary heart disease faster and earlier.
Prevalence of patients with myocardial infarction and atrial fibrillation has been growing every year.2 One of the causes of atrial fibrillation is coronary heart disease. Myocardial infarction can cause new-onset atrial fibrillation due to cardiac remodeling.3
