    Sorry, nothing unusual to report other than a proofreading error that wasn't caught. It should state Left Anterior Descending Artery branching off the left main artery.

    I am familiar with the coronary anatomy. I am familiar with the Left Main artery which typically bifurcates into the Left Anterior Descending Artery and the Left Circumflex artery. I have never heard the term "Left Main Anterior Descending Artery" as used in the article "The Day I Died." Please educate us. Perhaps this is a variant? Rarely the LAD can arise directly from the Aorta. In this case the Circumflex also ari...

    I am familiar with the coronary anatomy. I am familiar with the Left Main artery which typically bifurcates into the Left Anterior Descending Artery and the Left Circumflex artery. I have never heard the term "Left Main Anterior Descending Artery" as used in the article "The Day I Died." Please educate us. Perhaps this is a variant? Rarely the LAD can arise directly from the Aorta. In this case the Circumflex also arises directly from the Aorta. Rarely there is a right dominant coronary system. What is the truth in Dr. Greenbaum's case ?
