    Vista (and to a lesser degree the KP system) "works" because it's used in a closed system. Physicians aren't dealing with 20 different insurers, each with its own pre-auth rules, formularies, specialist networks, etc. Much of the problem is not the EMRs, but what physicians are required to do with them.
