Table one of this article states as a clinical predictor that "recently bedridden >3 days or major surgery within 12 weeks requiring general or regional anesthesia" is a risk. The original article that is referenced to support this (Wells) uses 4 weeks of immobilization, not 12. What accounts for this difference?
