Former AnnFamMed Editorial Fellows

2022

Dr. Vincent van Vugt, MD, PhD, is a family doctor, epidemiologist and researcher at the department of General Practice of Amsterdam UMC in The Netherlands. His main research focus is dizziness. This was also the topic of his doctoral dissertation, which was awarded the distinction cum laude. He developed, and regularly teaches, accredited continuing education courses for family doctors and physiotherapists on dizziness. As a postdoctoral researcher, he is dedicated to building bridges between science and daily family medicine. The Editorial Fellowship represents a great opportunity to expand this role, while learning more about medical editing and primary care research. He has a special interest in climate change, an important topic that deserves global attention. Many young doctors are concerned about the changing environment, but research projects are still scarce. By spotlighting primary care climate change research, we could further the discussion on how to move forward in practice.
