Nifty study. Modest but significant. Shows how useful EHRs can be if they are usable. Dr. Koopman may well have prevented herself from receiving additional funding from the Cerner Corporation because she has shown how much better the dashboard performs than Cerner's current offering. You are exactly right. Integrated multi-condition dashboards are the next step. The other next step is interactivity - being able to enter data directly on the dashboard page, and then having that help you with your documentation, too. There are lots of exciting possibilities, but we need clinicians on these teams so we can really get what we need.
